Our
web host Interland offers two
different mail software programs on
our servers.
- If you were set up as a client
on or before December 4, 2000, you
have iMail.
- If you were set up as a client
after December 4, 2000, you have
InterMail.
In the table below you will find
instructions on how to set up mail
users and aliases, plus general
information about the mail software.
If you wish to use e-mail client
software to view and compose your
e-mail, you will want to configure the
e-mail software on your e-mail server
first, creating users and passwords,
and possibly forwarding, aliases, etc.
as well. After configuring the e-mail
server software, you can then
configure your e-mail client with the
user you have just created. Below the
table are links for configuration for
the respective mail software.
E-mail (electronic mail) is what
allows you to send and receive
messages over the Internet. The power
of every e-mail program varies, but
the underlying jobs are still the
same: compose, send, and retrieve.
We
understand that e-mail capability is a
critical component of your Web
account. This part of the tour
discusses setting up your new e-mail
accounts and configuring e-mail
clients.
Setting
Up New E-mail Accounts
All
Interland customers have a Web-based
Interface for access and managing
e-mail accounts. You also have
the choice to use an e-mail client to
access your e-mail account. The
links below provide comprehensive
tutorials and information for
configuring common e-mail software,
setting up e-mail accounts, aliases,
forwarding, and POP3 service:
For your convenience, we have
provided several basic walkthroughs
for some of the more common e-mail
programs. When the
instructions say "registeredsite.com"
that does not mean to substitute your
domain name, you must not modify these
instructions in order for your mail to
function properly. Thank You!
